The National Office for Research Ethics Committees has published its Annual Report for 2022, providing an overview of a productive year for the office team and the NRECs it supports. The report demonstrates the breadth of work achieved by the National Office and NRECs, reflecting the vibrant health research landscape in Ireland.
In addition to key facts and figures from each of our Committees, the report presents highlights from the year including the intensive work to equip the Irish research ethics system for major regulatory changes at EU level, the establishment of a new research ethics committee to oversee the National Irish COVID-19 Biobank, and a roundup of the National Office’s outreach and engagement activities over the twelve months.
